We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Technology Specialist to join our team and play a crucial role in managing the corporate technology stack to support company growth and improve operational efficiency.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience managing construction software platforms or leading software implementation, ideally within the construction or architecture/engineering industry.
  • The ability to manage multiple software systems, updates, and integrations simultaneously while supporting project teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train non-technical users and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, PlanGrid), project reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel), and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols, data security, and compliance standards for construction software systems.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and Lean construction practices, as well as their integration into software workflows.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Computer Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing construction software platforms or in a software implementation role, ideally within the construction or architecture/engineering industry.
  • Strong familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, PlanGrid, etc.), project management tools, and collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
  • Proficient in using analytics tools like Excel, Power BI, or other construction software reporting tools to manage and analyze project data.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry .
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve software-related issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train non-technical users and collaborate with project teams and vendors.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, etc.) and how software can support project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple software systems, updates, and integrations simultaneously, ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Experience with cloud-based construction software and data integration across multiple platforms.
  • Experience in software configuration, customization, or integration for construction-related processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean construction practices and the role of software in facilitating Lean workflows

Responsibilities
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for the entire Marand Technology Stack
  • Lead the deployment and integration of construction-specific software tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, CoConstruct, etc.) into day-to-day operations.
  • Optimize software platforms to meet the unique needs of each project, ensuring optimal use of features for scheduling, cost management, document control, and resource planning.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to ensure software compatibility with existing systems, such as accounting software, ERP systems, and BIM platforms.
  • Provide training to project teams and end-users on construction software tools, ensuring all staff are proficient in using the software to its full potential.
  • Develop user manuals, training materials, and best practice guides to help teams navigate software systems effectively.
  • Offer ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for software-related issues and escalate complex problems to software vendors or IT teams as needed.
  • Monitor software performance and user feedback to ensure the systems are functioning effectively and meeting project needs.
  • Work with vendors to implement software updates, patches, and new feature rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
  • Track software license renewals, subscription management, and any required contract negotiations with software providers.
  • Ensure proper data input and management across construction software platforms, including accurate scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting templates to provide real-time project insights on key metrics such as project progress, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Work with project managers to analyze software-generated data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Evaluate current workflows and recommend software solutions or system enhancements that can streamline operations and improve project delivery times.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by analyzing software usage patterns and proposing adjustments to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess pain points and develop solutions that bridge any software gaps.
  • Manage relationships with software vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for any software-related inquiries, issues, or service requests.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations, software selection processes, and negotiations to ensure that the company is using the best tools for its needs.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging construction software tools, and updates from vendors to ensure the company remains on the cutting edge of technology.
  • Ensure all construction software complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data security protocols.
  • Work with IT and compliance teams to ensure that construction software meets company cybersecurity requirements and maintains secure data storage practices.
  • Manage and maintain existing cybersecurity vendors and hardware (Arctic Wolf).

Physical Demands:
  • The individual typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Generally, the job requires 70% sitting, 15% walking, and 15% standing.
  • Frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Please note that climbing stairs is a physical requirement. Some offices contain an elevator, but one must be able to use stairs for fire drills and emergencies


Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Individuals may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
